Why fibre and fluid go together
Aquafibre is built around one simple pairing: soluble fibre and a glass of water. Here is what is in the glass.
Fibre that dissolves.
How it worksFibre comes in two broad kinds. Insoluble fibre, like wheat bran, passes through largely intact. Soluble fibre dissolves in water. Aquafibre uses two soluble fibres, acacia gum and soluble tapioca fibre, blended so 6g stirs into water and mixes clear.
The everyday context6g soluble fibre in 1 heaped tablespoon/scoop (10g).
More fibre, more fluid.
How it worksThe NHS advice is simple: when you eat more fibre, drink plenty of fluids, and aim for 6 to 8 glasses a day overall. Every scoop of Aquafibre goes into 300-500ml of water.
The everyday context1 heaped tablespoon/scoop (10g) stirred into 300-500ml of cold water.
Minerals that dissolve.
How it worksElectrolytes are minerals that carry an electrical charge once dissolved in water. Aquafibre includes three: sodium (from Himalayan salt), potassium (as potassium citrate) and magnesium (as magnesium citrate), alongside selenium and vitamins D3, K2 and B12.
