Wild oregano oil, explained
One ingredient: the essential oil of oregano, with at least 92% carvacrol. Here is what that means.
The herb of the hillsides.
How it worksOregano (Origanum vulgare) is a woody herb of dry, sunny slopes around the Mediterranean. It grows wild on chalk and limestone grassland in Britain too, where it is known as wild marjoram. Its name is often traced to the Greek for “joy of the mountains”.

Why it is taken by the drop.
How it worksEssential oils are usually distilled with steam, which carries the aromatic oil out of the leaves and flowering tops. It takes a great deal of plant to make a little oil, so the result is very concentrated: three drops hold 150mg.
